Dear Editor,
The PNCR commitment to transparency has to be made manifest in all spheres of activities related to the processes, especially those of the upcoming biennial Congress.
According to reports in your daily dated Saturday August 8th 2009, Mr. Corbin is the front runner where nominations are concerned for the position of Leader of the party, PNCR does not know if he has accepted the nomination, since the process closes on August 10th 2009, once he accepts.
Good judgment and best practice would require that he removes himself from all processes related to the electoral process of the Congress. It will also be important that all other candidates, who are vying for positions will do likewise.
Additionally, one would expect that the General Secretary Mr. Oscar Clarke would ensure that all candidates would have equal access to all relevant information, which would allow them to ensure that the processes are fair and just.
