Aug 10, 2009 Letters
Dear Editor,
Two items on me appeared in the Kaieteur News. One is from the GWI. I replied to that last Friday. There has been a significant development with this story and readers need to know what is unfolding here.
GWI published in the Thursday edition of Kaieteur News that from August 2008 to May 2009, I burned $18,000 in water usage. That is just under $2000 a month for a 10 month period.
What GWI didn’t say is that there has just one reading for my meter in 2008. So how did they arrive at $18, 000? On Thursday no one could answer that question. I paid $20, 000 in advance in 2008. On Thursday, I asked all the personnel connected with billing how much I burned from January – July in 2008. No one could answer that.
There was no reading for that period. No one can tell me how my $20, 00 was accounted for in 2008. As it stands from January 2008 to May 2009, I paid $38, 000. That does not work out below $2000 per month. Let us see how GWI will deal with this one when next they write KN on my water consumption
The second letter was published on Friday written by someone who signed his name as Hector Burnette (“The side of the story Kissoon does not tell”). It was in response to my condemnation of Forbes Burnham’s dictatorship in my Thursday column. I will tell all the stories of my life to anyone real person who wants to know but they must be a real person. Let Hector Burnette identify himself as a citizen who exist and owns that name and I will tell him about everything he wants to know about my life including who paid my airfare out of Grenada which certainly wasn’t Burnham.
I would never have taken a mango from Burnham muchless an airfare. That I swear on the life of my only child. If there is anything I hate in life are people who hide under their mothers’ bloomers while attacking public figures. I wrote that twice in my column and I repeated that expression when Mark Benschop interviewed me on his radio station last Wednesday. I really hate such people.
They don’t belong to human society. My take on anonymous writers and unnamed bloggers is that they cannot reveal who they are because it would break up their families. Imagine your children and spouse know that you are engaged in such smut and political pornography.
Also their own families, in a strange twist of fate may become sympathetic to the very people their father and husband criticises and hide under his mother’s petticoat. Here is a real story. I told the wife of a man who writes anonymously and pens the nastiest things about PPP critics what he does. She asked me for the proof. I supplied her with his IP address. She was completely shocked because the IP address is in her name.
She couldn’t believe it because she is a very religious person and who never tolerate his nasty blog language.
She confronted him and he denied it saying people can use anyone’s IP address. I told her she can quote me and she refused saying she doesn’t want to pursue the matter further. That guy still does his nonsense yet hasn’t got the guts to tell his family that this is the way he feels about politics and have the courage to publicly defend what he believes in.
I know he would sue me if I publish his name. If the PPP loses the election in 2011 I will name him and the site he posts his dirty comments on. I hope Burnette comes forward so I can tell him all he wants to know about my academic training, complete political profile and everything I have done in Grenada and why and how I left Grenada. In closing let me repeat I would not have trusted Burnham to give me a ride on a bicycle muchless charter a plane for me.
Burnham knew how I felt about him and it still pains me that we never met so that when he would have tried to deceive me with his oratorical skills and cunning instincts, I could have told him to put his deceptive brilliance where the monkey put the nuts
