Play in the Mike’s Pharmacy sponsored Guyana Softball League 15 overs cricket competition continued last weekend with several matches.
In the Under-15 category for the Kidicare trophy: Linden Zone –
At Christianburg Ground:
Nottinghamshire defeated Victory Valley Kings by 11 runs:
Nottinghamshire XI batted first and scored 78-9 in 10 overs (Andre Walker 22; Timothy Fullington 4-2 in 2 overs). In reply Victory Valley Kings made 67-6 all out in 10 overs (Timothy Fullington 20; Tony Williams 2-16 from 2 overs).
West Watooka “A” SC defeated Kara Kara Kings by 9 runs:
West Watooka “A” SC batted first and scored 114-9 in 10 overs (Joseph Fortune 34: Devon Grant 3-20 in 2 overs). In reply Kara Kara Kings made 105 all out in 10 overs (Said Hussein 38; Shane Davidson 2-18 from 2 overs).
Blazing Fire XI defeated Section “C” All Stars by 54 runs:
Blazing Fire XI made 134-3 in 10 overs (Delon Seals 46; Kurt Cuffy 2-26 from 2 overs) Section “C” All Stars replied with 80 all out from 10 overs (Royston George 18; Lionel Peters 3-1 from 2 overs).
Genesis “B” got a walkover from Sunrise CC:
Genesis “A” got a walkover from Uprising SC:
West Watooka SC defeated Blue Berry Hill SC by 106 runs:
West Watooka SC made 139-2 in 10 overs (Lloyd Williams 70; Jamal Ammington 1-19 from 2 overs) Blue Berry Hill SC were bundled out for 33 all out from 9.5 overs (Seon Cipio 5-12 from 2 overs).
Nottinghamshire defeated Section “C” Warriors by a 5 wkts:
Section “C” Warriors SC made 101-6 in 10 overs (Andy Adams 36; Collis Ben 3-2 from 2 overs) Nottinghamshire SC made 102-5 from 7.2 overs in reply (Johan Westfield 29; Murdoch London 2-20 from 2 overs).
Results from the Over-40 category: Demerara zone:
Shattazville Masters got a walkover from Uitvlugt Masters; Rangers Masters got a walkover from Uitvlugt Masters; Trophy Stall Seniors defeated Savage Seniors by 3 wkts; Floodlight XI defeated Industry Super kings by 3 wkts.
In the open category: Linden Zone –  at Christianburg – Uprising SC defeated Nottinghamshire by 3 runs; Strike Star XI gained a walkover from Endeavour XI; Victory 14 XI defeated Uprising SC (In their second match) by 18 runs:
At Bayrock ground – South Star XI defeated West Watooka SC by 5 wkts; Pacesetters XI defeated West Watooka SC by a massive 153 runs.
East Bank Zone: Providence Ground Pitch #2 –
North Boys XI defeated Ghost Riders XI by a 5 wkts; Diamond Superstars XI defeated North Boys XI (in their 2nd match) by 4 wkts; Takers XI defeated Bent Street XI by 6 wkts: Bent Street XI got a walkover from Young Challengers XI; Ghost Riders XI got a walkover from Young Challengers XI; Players XI got a walkover from Bhaiya XI.
East Coast Zone: at Ogle Ground – Rockets XI made light work of Annandale West XI by 5wkts; Daredevils XI defeated Legacy XI by 75 runs; Annandale West XI gained a walkover from Legacy XI; Annandale West XI defeated Harry XI by a massive 116 runs.
West Coast Zone: Shattaville XI defeated Raiders XI by 38 runs; Shattaville XI defeated Westside Underdogs XI by 8 runs; Westside Underdogs XI gained a walkover from Hyde Park XI.
