Amelia’s Ward United registered an important 3-1 victory against Coomacka United when play in the UDFA/Stag B-League continued on Tuesday at the Bayrock Ground.
The win takes the first division club to eight points; however, they must win their final game on Saturday and hope that Peacemakers are upset by Flamingo. That game was scheduled for yesterday.
Striker Odinga Greene, who has been struggling for form in the league, registered a double against Coomacka United. Greene scored in the 25th minute and was on target again in the 49th minute.
Coomacka United pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 60th minute after a handled ball was called by referee Rollin Tappin. Keron Daw converted.
Amelia’s Ward continued to dominate the game and secured a 3-1 win after Andrew Lambert scored in the 75th minute.
The league wraps up with an exciting double header on Saturday at the Bayrock Ground.
