‘C’ Division tops MHS and ‘A’ Division
The Ministry of Home Affairs handed out prizes won in the recently concluded domino competition which saw C Division emerging as victors with 70 games, edging out Ministry of Home Affairs (MHS) who ended on the same amount of games but lost out on sixes.
The winners, who hosted the final last Friday at their Chateau Margot, Headquarters, made a total of 6 sixes to MHS’ 5; A Division ended on the carpet three games back on 67. MHS captain Jermaine Hermanstine, who was the top marker of the final with 16 games, was named the MVP of the final.
Minister of Home Affairs, the Honorable Clement Rohee delivered feature remarks at yesterday’s presentation ceremony which took place at the Ministry’s Brickdam Headquarters.
Rohee congratulated the top performers and the organisers for doing a fine job while underscoring the importance of sports at this level.
Also delivering brief remarks was chairman of A Division Community Policing group Rawle Blyden and Clement Henry, chairman of the Ministry’s Sports and culture Committee.
Accepting the winner’s trophy on behalf of C Division from Minister Rohee, was Ayube Mohamed. S.P. Worldwide Import and Export sponsored the tournament.
