Dear Editor,
The Government of Guyana in its articles in SN and Kaieteur News of August 1, 2009 is on the defence of denial the purchasing of the Spy Equipment CSM Laptop Model No. 7806 for the Ministry of Health, which was raised in the Brooklyn US Federal Court on July 30, 2009 and accuses Enrico Woolford of being bias.
Mr. Woolford is reporting exactly what Peter Myers testifies and this is fair journalism as I sat in the packed court to hear the testimony from Peter Myers.
Peter Myers, co-director of Smith Myers Electronic, with sales office in Florida, under cross examination by US State prosecutor said in his confession under oath, that the Laptop equipment was purchased by the Ministry of Health at a cost of US$75,000, which is designed only for law enforcement to monitor and intercept cellular phone calls.
This equipment, Peter Myers specifically stated, that no individual or citizen can purchase.
This equipment, it was sold to the Ministry of Health Dr. Ramsammy and services provided to Roger Khan; evidence of the items were exhibits in the Brooklyn US Federal Court.
This is highly preposterous of the Government denial which is unequivocal and irrelevant.
