An elderly mother yesterday visited Kaieteur News, seeking help to find her daughter.
Mohanie Persaud, of Essequibo Coast, is appealing to the public to help her find her 24-year-old daughter, Celica Lebrun.
The young nursing student has been missing since last Thursday.
She was last seen by her father on the morning of Thursday July 30, before she left her Cummings Street home.
She had at the time informed her father, Ignatius Lebrun, with whom she lives, that she would be back ‘just now’. She never returned home.
Mrs. Persaud related that her daughter, who is originally from Essequibo, had come to Georgetown to start nursing studies just about two years ago.
Ms. Lebrun moved in with her father in November 2007, and had been living there ever since.
Reports of the disappearance were made to the Alberttown Police Station, but the family has not gotten word from the authorities since.
Anyone with any information that would lead to Ms. Celica Lebrun’s safe return home is asked to contact the family at 638-7320 (mother) 680-3222 (Vanessa).
