The entertainment sirens are blaring, signaling the coming of the 6th Annual Whatz Hott Guyana Show to be staged at Thirst Park.
However, word is out that this time around a segment of the show will also head to Essequibo so that patrons in that area can also soak up some of the explosive fun and frolic associated with the event.
As stated by the promoter, Ian Johnson, this year’s event will be geared at creating absolute ‘electric excitement’ compared to the other years gone by.
The 2K9 Whatz Hott Guyana Thirst Park show is billed for August 08.
On August 15, the show heads to Essequibo and will be hosted at the Anna Regina Center Ground.
While this show will be an event to die for, the climax of the event however is centered around the 2K9 Dancehall Queen Showdown which will see 10 ‘red, hot dancehall divas’, facing off in a competition that will reek of raw, raunchy and riveting dance performances.
This feature will showcase the ‘best of the best’ in Guyanese entertainment and will see smashing performances from the most selected local entertainers.
Slated to perform are Guyana’s chutney sensations, Rajesh Dubraj, Mahendra Ramkellawan, and budding Chutney Queen, Sandella Craig.
On the platter also are reigning Soca Monarch, Shellon ‘Shelly G’ Garraway, Timeka Marshall, the sultry Jessica Xavier, Fojo, Spida, Melissa ‘Vanilla’ Roberts, Marlon ‘Malo’ Webster and Clinton ‘Passion’ Adolphus.
New and exciting acts will also be presented by Fiona ‘Sugarcake’ Alli, X’s 2’s Adrian Dutchin and Jomo ‘Rubber Waist’ Primo, Brutal Tracks’ Kester ‘D’ and the dancing sensation ‘Sexy Ishwar’.
Tickets for this event are being sold for $1000 but more will be required at the gate.
Tickets can be accessed at Nigel’s Supermarket, Johnny ‘P’, South Ruimveldt, Matt’s Record Bar, Regent Street, Colours Boutique, Robb Street, Gizmos & Gagets, and of course, Everything Music.
