The Rotary Club of Georgetown undertook many projects last month. One of them involved donating furniture to educational institutions including the National Library. President Pradeep Samtani explained that July is the Rotary Literacy Month and the focus was on boosting education.
Rotarian Harry Parmesar Treasurer and Board member of the Rotary club of Georgetown handed over furniture to Ms. Gillian Thompson, Chief Librarian, National Library.
He also handed over furniture acquired with help from Food for the Poor to the West Ruimveldt Primary School.
Here Parmessar makes the donation to the National Library and as the Treasurer and Board member of the Rotary Club of Georgetown, hands over furniture to Mrs. Wendy Litchmore, Headmistress of West Ruimveldt Primary School.
