Shattas oppose Blue Berry Hill in playoff game today
The 2nd annual Netrockers FC knock-out extravaganza will commence tomorrow at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.
Netrockers will be teaming up with Amelia’s Ward United for this year’s tournament which will see Silver Shattas and Blue Berry Hill facing off for the final spot in the eight-team competition. They will meet at the Bayrock Community ground from 16:00hrs today.
The winner of this match will be in action again tomorrow against Amelia’s Ward United at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground when the tournament commences proper with a double header. The feature clash brings together defending champions Bakewell Topp XX and Eagles United.
Prior to the games tomorrow, their will be the March Past and Opening Ceremony which will be attended by executive members of the host clubs as well as representatives of the Upper Demerara Football Association.
Two more matches will be contested on Wednesday, Netrockers will battle the reformed Winners Connection from 18:00hrs while from 20:00hrs Linden’s number one side, Milerock, will come up against the guest team Guyana Defence Force.
Winners from these games will advance to the Semi-finals two days later.
Over $500,000 is at stake in cash and other prizes in the tournament which promises to be competitive and exciting.
Spectators will not be left out since they too have a lot to look forward to with attractive gate prizes at stake apart from quick fingers C-Point top-ups, kick for cash, raffle drawings and four nights of $US cash giveaways.
