Quarter-final matches in the Guyana Softball and Windball Cricket Association (GS&WCA) sponsored 15-15 Tapeball cricket competition will be played off this weekend at the GS&WCA ground on Carifesta Avenue.
In the matches fixed for today, Ghetto Stars will battle with Sterling Products and Hillfoot Strikers will collide with Park Rangers at 09:00 hours. Bank of Guyana will play Finewood Marketing Inc. while Mocha will tackle Pharmagen at 13:00 hours.
At 15:00 hours Queenstown will take on the winners of the match between Hillfoot and Park Rangers.
In the results of last weekend matches, Neal and Massy (N&M) defeated Kingston by 67 runs.
Neal and Massy won the toss and batted first, compiled 123 for 9 wickets in their allotted 15 overs.
Gary Jhagdat top scored with 47 (3×6, 3×4), he was supported by Ravi Singh with 28 (3×6, 1×4).
Bowling for Kingston Intikab Sankar bagged 3 for 25 & Devon Whyte 3 for 20.
Kingston in their turn were bowled out for 56. Andrew Ramlall top scored with 16. Bowling for N & M, Skipper Mark Singh picked up 4 for 14 & Ravi Singh returned with the ball to capture 3 for 12.
Dyna’s Bravado brushed aside Mercenary by 3 wickets with one over to spare. Batting first mercenary made 83 for 7 wickets. Christopher Barnwell made 17, Jamal Hinkson 13 & Richard Latiff 11.
Bowling for Bravado, Trevor Benn, Earl Gilkes and J. Kellman grabbed two wickets each.
Bravado in their turn made 87 for 7 in 14 overs. Earl Gilkes top scored with 24 and Alex Culley made 13. Adrian Persaud captured 2 for 6 and Richard Latiff 2 for 13.
The remaining quarter-final matches will be played tomorrow at the same venue starting at 13:00 hours.
