A Port Kaituma resident has been remanded for allegedly having carnal knowledge of a female under 15 years old yesterday.
It was alleged that Komal Peters on July 18, at Port Kaituma had carnal knowledge of a female under the age of 15 years.
He was not required to plead to the indictable offence which was read to him by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The matter was called up to the bench and after a lengthy discussion the accused was remanded to prison.
He is expected to make another court appearance on August 5. The matter was transferred to the Port Kaituma Magistrate’s Court.
