Netrockers aided by some poor officiating stormed back from being 3-nil down to edge Coomacka United 4-3 in the feature game when play in the Stag B-League organised by the Upper Demerara Football Association continued on Sunday last at the Bayrock ground in the Mining Town.
Wheatin Thom netted for Coomacka in the 5th and 18th minutes while his teammate Quasi Patrick scored in the 12th minute.
Netrockers responded through Culric Beckles in the 39th and 62nd minutes, Deshwan Joseph in the 54th and Orandy Wills in the 90th minute.
Beckles’ last goal and Wills’ strike were deemed controversial as they looked to be in an offside position.
Netrockers now have 3 points from three games while Coomacka have a single point from two matches.
Hi-Stars and Vasco drew 1-1 in the first game of the day. Cleveland Thomas scored from a free-kick in the 67th minute and Hi-Stars responded in the 72nd minute through a Tony ‘Spirit’ Adams strike.
Hi-Stars were lucky to come out with a draw as they were down to 10 men in the 28th minute when defender Kennard Simon was red carded by referee Rollin Tappin for serious foul play.
Hi-Stars now have 3 points from 3 games while Vasco have 2 points from two.
