All Star defeated Knight Riders by 8 wickets as the Mike’s Pharmacy 15 overs softball cricket competition continued recently in Wakenaam.
Knight Riders batted first and made 113 all out in 15 overs with Avinash Jairam getting 29 and J. Persaud 27 as Jaggernauth Manbodh grabbed 4-18 and Vijay Persaud 2-26 for All Star who replied with 118 for 2 in 13 overs.
Oyono Sampson was their leading run getter with 39 while Navishaul Pooran made 34.
All Star have now qualified for the national quarter-finals having topped the Wakenaam leg.
Belle Plaine and Cavaliers were to meet to determine the next team from Wakenaam to go through to the playoffs.
