PLANTATION ROSS, WEST COAST BERBICE – Police in Division ‘’B’ of the Guyana Police Force unearthed a quantity of what is suspected to be cocaine, yesterday.
According to police reports, based on information received, ranks from the Fort Wellington Police Station moved in on a location close to a popular business place at Middle Walk Dam, Plantation Ross, West Coast of Berbice.
A search around 15:30 hours turned up 104 grams of the illicit drug. The item was said to be individually packaged in small quantities and stored in a plastic bottle. The container was concealed near to a waterway in some bushes.
The investigation to ascertain ownership and origin of the drug is in progress. Police are said to be hunting a suspect. (Melissa Johnson)
