Peacemakers defeated first division club Amelia’s Ward United 1-0 when play in the UDFA Stag-B-League continued with a double header at the Bayrock ground on Saturday.
Nirven Adrian scored the lone and important goal from 20 yards out in the 48th minute.
In the opening game, Flamingo drew 1-1 with Coomacka United. Coomacka United drew first blood in the 35th minute through Keron Daw. Flamingo responded from the penalty spot in the 60th minute through Alwyn Allicock.
Peacemakers’ victory against Amelia’s Ward United made it two wins from two games while Flamingo would just be thankful for the hard earned point following their 6-nil defeat to Hi-Stars on Thursday last.
Play continued at the same venue yesterday. Ansa McAl through its Stag beer has sponsored the 7-team B-League, previously referred to as a relegation tournament, to the tune of $500,000.
