Dear Editor,
It is with great regret I had to pen this letter.
The mere sight of the Ogle Cemetery Road makes you sick. It is for sure a feeling of disgust, I suppose for every citizen living along this road.
The length of the road is approximately 1500ft. Work on this road has started in excess of one month and to date only the shoulder has been completed. With the rains on us, this is creating a lot of discomfort for us. The road is very muddy which is as a result of the shoulder trapping the rain water. We are in a state that is worse than before.
For some vehicle owners accessing their driveways have become impassible, and as such, had to resort to alternative parking, which has resulted in one resident losing his CD player and other accessories from his vehicle.
Let me also say that this road was not graded or dug up in order to have a proper foundation and part of the road has already been laid with loam at a thickness ranging from 2 to 4 inches. Also at the head of the road there is a drain under, which should, in my opinion, be equipped with a culvert in order to stop the road from caving in.
Can the relevant authority look into this matter, because I see this as another waste of much valued dollars.
