Dear Editor,
I fully expected, and was not disappointed, that a comment would be coming from the PNCR1G following the ousting of the democratically-elected President of Honduras.
It is so similar to what the PNC itself was trying to orchestrate in Guyana over the years by making the country “ungovernable”, and calling on “kith and kin” with the intention to oust the democratically-elected PPP/Civic government and also preventing them from assuming office.
They made several attempts, and in different forms, with different strategies, and no doubt, this unholy ambition still lingers in their dreams, perhaps causing them nightmares at times.
The actions of the PNCR1G in my considered opinion, is one of the main reasons for the continued and escalating emigration of Guyanese over recent years.
Their instigated and continued threats of violence, periodically uttered, is contributing to many Guyanese leaving and wanting to leave.
