With the calling off of the 2009 Caribbean Football Union’s Regional Under-15 tournament as a result of the H1N1 Flu which affected Trinidad and Tobago, four countries have taken the opportunity to compete against each other.
Hosts, Suriname, the Netherlands Antilles, French Guiana and Guyana will participate in the Under-15 tournament from August 7 – 11.
In preparation for this competition, the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has invited a squad of 25-players to commence training from tomorrow to August 3.
The players will be encamped at the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE), Turkeyen. The Guyanese will leave on August 5 for Suriname and return on the 12th.
The players shortlisted along with their parent/guardian are invited to attend a meeting at the CPCE tomorrow commencing at 11:00hrs, where they will be fully briefed on plans for the encampment and subsequent tour.
