Region Seven Environmental Health Officer, Dotsy Douglas, has seized a substantial quantity of damaged and expired goods from numerous outlets in Bartica.
These items include biscuits, medicines, beverages and other food items.
On Thursday, Cianna Persaud, the Region Seven Information Officer reported that in collaboration with the Neighbourhood Democratic Council, these goods were destroyed at the Byderabo Garbage Dumpsite outside of Bartica.
This is an ongoing effort by the department to ensure the quality of products being distributed to residents are in keeping with promoting healthy lifestyles.
