The Pegasus Hotel in conjunction with the GLOBAL COUNTRY OF WORLD PEACE headquartered in Vlodrop, Netherlands, will be hosting a presentation on Stress Management through the Transcendental Meditation Programme at the Savannah Suite on Wednesday at 17.30hrs.
The presentation will include a slide show review of scientific research on the benefits of the TM programme in the areas of development of mental potential, health, social behaviour and world peace.
Lecturers will be Richard and Janine Robertson, Directors of Education and Invincibility of the Maharishi Global Country of World Peace for the English speaking Latin American & Caribbean countries.
The couple has worked on numerous projects in the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia, Europe and Africa over the past 30 years on behalf of the Maharishi University of Management, Holland, where they have introduced their programme to thousands of people.
Over the past six months, the lecturers have been working on the establishment of a permanent centre for their programme in Guyana.
According to the Robertsons, one of the areas where Transcendental Meditation has been used successfully is in business, since it develops mental potential and increases creativity and intelligence.
“To be successful in business one must have an orderly mind. The practice of the Transcendental Meditation Technique developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is a simple, natural, effective way to create orderliness from within” Mr. Robertson said “and we would like to encourage members of the Guyanese business and professional community to take advantage of this technique for their own personal benefit”.
The TM programme has been successfully introduced into many companies internationally and benefits include increased productivity and profitability, increased job satisfaction and job performance, reduced stress, and a general improvement in the health of managers and employees. The programme is easy to learn and practice and the benefits are both immediate and cumulative.
The TM programme centers on the development of the full brain potential of the individual through simple, natural meditation techniques. The degree of wakefulness of consciousness is the basis of one’s ability to manage every aspect of life, which depends on our level of alertness, creativity, organising power, efficiency, health, and happiness. This determines our level of success and performance in all fields of life as a whole. By enlivening the most fundamental level of creative intelligence in human awareness, the TM Programme enables individuals to achieve their highest personal and professional goals without strain.
The basic practice of the Transcendental Meditation Programme is the Transcendental Meditation Technique which is a simple, natural, mental technique developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, considered to have been the foremost scientist of consciousness, which has been taught to more than six million people around the world of all cultures and religions.
In the area of business, the Transcendental Meditation Programme has been implemented in hundreds of leading companies worldwide, including General Motors, Sumitomo, Ericsson, IBM, Toyota, Mc Donald Douglas and many of India’s top companies. It has proven to be highly effective in improving health, creativity, and productivity, while reducing and eliminating the detrimental effects of stress on health and job performance.
