The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has sent a congratulatory message to Guyanese middle order batsman, Travis Dowlin, on his selection to the West Indies team for the current first Test against Bangladesh, being played in St. Vincent.
Following is the text of the GCB’s message:
“The Guyana Cricket Board extends congratulations to you on your selection to the West Indies Team.
Although you have been awarded the maroon cap in unusual circumstances, no one can doubt that your commitment and consistent performances over the years would have been a strong recommendation for selection.
The Guyana Cricket Board hopes that you would seize the opportunity firmly and demonstrate to all that you are ready for this level of cricket.
Best wishes for a memorable and productive debut.”
