The Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) has identified three teams of female cricketers to participate in the DCB Female Mini League, scheduled to get underway at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary on Monday 13th July, 2009.
The organisers have also advised that playing conditions are same as the male 50 overs competitions.
Players have been selected from the Harpy Eagles, Toucans and Night Hawks. The full composition of the teams reads:
TOUCANS: Zaheeda Samdally (Captain), June Thampson (WK), Rayana Ward, Naesha Khan, Angina Lalbachan, Latoya Smith, Nalini Sumintia, Donnette Richie, Bibi Zelema Khan, Shameeza Hussain, Ossita Pilgrim, Lashanda Barta and Jocell Joseph.
HARPY EAGLES: Davine Sewnarine (Captain), Victoria Bacchus (WK), Resha Khan, Haseena Mohamed, Prudence Williams, Permalle London, Letritra Hyles, Allassa Harry, Sharanda Little, Thessa Cordis, Gailann Griffith, Seron Browne, Geeta Singh, Omadai Singh.
NIGHT HAWKS: Alena Parker (Captain), Adrianna Hacket (WK), Darlene Gayle, Renika Issacs, Joann Vansertima, Tameks Keir, Heema Singh, Lashine Toussiant, Shellon Nedd, Melisa Kishun, Raheeya Kahalil, Cynde Jattan, Kamini Sugrim.
Meanwhile, the fixtures are as follows: Monday 13 July 2009—Toucans vs Harpy Eagles, Tuesday 14th July, 2009—Toucans vs Night Hawks, Wedesday 15th July, 2009—Harpy Eagles vs Night Hawks.
All matches would be played at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.
