According to him it was around 16:30 hours on Tuesday that the officer was attending a meeting in his office when she left to go visit a doctor.
“She complained of feeling unwell but it came as a severe shock when last night (Tuesday) at about 20:30 hours I learnt of her death.”
The Minister said that Ramsammy would be a tremendous loss to the Ministry when her commitment and devotion to duty and the amount of work she did over the past two years as Principal Education Officer are considered.
Ramsammy has been a part of the Ministry of Education for several years. She was Education Officer of Region Six but became Principal Education Officer two years ago for the largest education district.
