Dear Editor,
I think that the memorial tribute for Michael Jackson was what I had expected and I wasn’t sure why I didn’t see the presence of some other A-listers in the music industry and other celebrities.
Nevertheless, I was tuned like many others from this end of the globe mainly because time was available and I wouldn’t deny the fact that a lot of thoughts came to mind.
It is my only hope that that the regime of North Korea, those criminals responsible for genocide in the African continent, the Taliban etc. took a moment out and at least try to grasp the messages that were taught, especially from the songs that were sung.
I shook my head with the tribute by Brooke Shields and I have to give it to Jennifer Hudson for her rendition of ‘Will You Be There” from the movie ‘Free Willy.”
I did mentioned in a recent publication that it was one that I personally singled out as one of best for me and a decision by the family to have it sung during the tribute indeed tells something about it.
Well, the King of Pop has gone to meet the ‘King of Kings’, so, we now have to continue to enjoy Madonna, the Queen of Pop.
