Two persons were air dashed to the city after they were both stabbed in separate incidents.
Reports are that 36-year-old Terry Welcome, of Big Creek Matthews Ridge, was attacked at his home on Wednesday evening last by a man who accused him of having an affair with his girlfriend.
This newspaper was told that the suspect called “Collie” who has since gone into hiding went to Welcome’s home where the two became involved in an argument. Some time later persons in the area were forced to rescue Welcome from his attacker.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital. Yesterday, he was air dashed to the city after his condition began to deteriorate. He has since been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Also 40 year-old Lucille James was air dashed to the city from Matthews Ridge after she too sustained several stab wounds about her body.
This newspaper was told that, James, who is a shop owner, was attacked by two women identified only as “Joy” and “Mosquito”.
While reports are still sketchy, sources say that the two went to James’s shop to make a purchase.
However for some reason James refused to sell the two women. This apparently angered the women who attacked James with knives, stabbing her several times about her body.
She too was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital yesterday.
