The Berbice Football Association (BFA) in association with the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), conclude their three-day coaching clinic for coaches in the Ancient County today at the Blairmont Community Centre.
The clinic which commenced on Friday was facilitated by internationally accredited coach, Claude François Bolton, who has been conducting similar exercises with other associations.
Bolton, who also has a wealth of experience as a player, holds the highest coaching qualifications in the United States of America These include team, goalkeeping and fitness licences, as well as a National Youth Diploma.
He was assisted by GFF Technical Development Officer, Lyndon France who also has distinguished credentials in the area of coaching.
The workshop focused on field sessions for youth players at the Under-10, 11 and 12 levels. Field sessions and assessments will be held from 10:00hrs to 16:30hrs today.
Meanwhile, at the end of today’s programme, there will be a youth tournament information meeting focusing on a 7-a-side Under-13 boys’ round-robin competition set for Thursday; an Under-15, 11-a-side knockout event ischeduled for Friday and a female 7 a-side round-robin competition, which will be contested next Sunday.
Trophies and other prizes will be presented to all winners and outstanding individual players.
