Tonight at the National Park, the Wellman Master Cup nationwide softball competition sponsored by Mike’s Pharmacy will begin in a dynamic way when for the first time ever a softball cricket match will be playing at the National Park Tarmac under the brand new National Park floodlights.
Floodlights XI will play Rangers Masters of Parika in a 25 overs match and action starts at 6:30pm. According to a release from the organisers, admission is free and no rain will stop play.
President of the Guyana Softball League, Leonard Harriprashad, said he is pleased to have the involvement of the Floodlights team and hopes that through their efforts many more competition matches will be played under lights.
Floodlights Squad: Ricky Deonarain, Hardat Singh, Ravendra Singh, Dharam Persaud, Imtiaz Mohammed, Amernauth Boodhoo, Ramesh Sunich, Kemal Seebaran, Ramchand Ragbeer, Derick Ramoutar, Rahaman Khan, Mikes Singh, Muneshwar Lallbeharry.
Rangers Masters: MRK Saphie, Feroz Ghani, Safik Salim, Harper Sookdeo, Shafeek Mohammed, Rashid Mohammed, Jeff Chandler, Ramesh Rambharose, Asif Ahamad, Mohammed Safie, Zaire Ally, Zaisul Hussain.
