The Tucville Ground was a hive of activity last Friday evening, when action in the GFA/Cellink Plus, Super League continued.
In the first match, the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) and the Flamingo FC played to a 1-1 stalemate. Peter Parks registered for GFC in the 75th minute, but a sterling effort from Flamingo’s Deon Allen in the 77th equalized the situation until the final whistle.
In the other game played, Sunburst Camptown defeated the Guyana Defence Force 2-1 on the back of a 47th minute effort from Llyton Ramsey and an 88th minute goal off the boot of Orlando Gilgeous.
Jerome Richards saved some face for the soldiers with a 53rd minute goal.
Meanwhile, play in the tournament continues on Sunday, with an exciting double-header. Western Tigers take on Fruta Conquerors starting at 19:00hrs, while the feature attraction at 21:00hrs bring together Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United and Pele.
All matches are being played at the Tucville Ground.
