Tucber Park became the first team to reach the quarter-finals of the Spready’s Bakery Under-19, 50-over Cricket Competition in Berbice after they defeated Police to end Zone B (new Amsterdam/Canje/East Bank) unbeaten.
Shaan Baksh 76 (5 fours and 5 sixes) and Keion De Jesus 63 (4 fours and 3 sixes) led Tucber Park to 250 for 9 in 50 overs. Police were bowled out for 95 in reply.
Kelon Sinclair opening the batting for Gibraltar/Courtland slammed 83 (11fours and 2 sixes), his second consecutive half century, to help his team amass 272 for 7 in 45 overs against Kildonan. After that he opened the bowling with his medium pacers and took 4 for 50 from 9 overs to assist in restricting Kildonan to 186 in reply with Hemraj Mankarran contributing 54. Sinclair had made 67 and took 3 for 38 in his team’s previous match against Big Star.
Lakeraj Sookra’s second consecutive half century for De Edward went in vain as his team still lost to Achievers by 5 runs thanks to a 5-wicket haul from Achievers opening bowler Raun Johnson.

At Edinburgh, Tucber Park beat Police by 155 runs. Tucber Park 250 for 9 in 50 overs with Shaan Baksh 76, Keion De Jesus 63, Jeeresh De Jees 2 for 35, Joel Amsterdam 2 for 57. Police 95 in 23 overs with Joel Amsterdam 17, Derick Cadogan 2 for 15, Andel De Jonge 2 for 15, Kelvin Leitch 2 for 12.
At Courtland, Gibraltar/Courtland beat Kildonan by 86 runs. Gibraltar/Courtland 272 for 7 in 45 overs with Kelon Sinclair 83, Roydel Clarke 28, Narendra Ramnarine 3 for 78, Hemraj Mankarran 2 for 55. Kildonan 186 in 31 overs with Hemraj Mankarran 54, Rajendra Ramcharitar 27, Kelon Sinclair 4 for 50, Keon Sinclair 3 for 48, Roydel Clarke 3 for 49.
At Lovely Lass, Achievers beat De Edward by 5 runs. Achievers 171 in 39.3 overs with Raffel Estriado 35, Asif Khan 31, Brentnol Woolford 29, Derick Lalsa Jnr 3 for 32, Daniel Sookraj 2 for 37. De Edward 166 in 30.4 overs with Lakeraj Sookra 65, Sadart Harripaul 27, Raun Johnson 5 for 30, Rajiv Kishun 2 for 47.
