Anil Beharry, Senior Manager for Berbice Operations, NBS Ltd, hands over a cheque to Deonarine Mangra, Headmaster of Vryman’s Erven Secondary School
Recently, the New Building Society Limited (NBS) answered the call of Vryman’s Erven Secondary to assist in refurbishing the school’s Science Laboratory.
Over the years, the lab has deteriorated, and in a self-initiated gesture the NBS decided to assist in its improvement, to facilitate easier learning and make it more comfortable for the students and teachers.
Senior Manager for Berbice NBS Operations, Anil Beharry, said that the society is very happy to contribute towards the development of the young people in communities across Guyana. He further expressed confidence in the current headmaster of the school (Deonarine Mangra) and called on other organizations and individuals to assist the school’s drive to refurbish the lab. Mangra in his reply expressed gratitude and hopes that other organizations come aboard.
The presentation was done at the New Amsterdam Branch in the presence of staff members.
