The Guyana Chess Federation will stage a Swiss eight-round chess tournament starting Sunday, at the Kei-Shar’s Sports Club on Hadfield Street, Georgetown.
Action is set to kick off at 10:00am sharp, while registration is at 9:30am in the Sasha Cells sponsored event.
Three rounds are set for Sunday, round four next Tuesday at 4:30pm, round five next Thursday at 4:30 pm and the final three rounds on July 6 from 10:00 am. A time period of two and a half hours is allotted per game.
The tournament will be play in three categories, beginner, junior and senior. A registration fee will be charged for all categories.
