-finals of Guyana Model Search & Stylist Designers portfolio ready to explode
The buzz is everywhere about the ‘electric’ launch of the Guyana Model Search and Stylist Designers portfolio that kicked off at Duke Lodge., Kingston on Saturday last.
From all accounts, it appears as if this time around Guyanese veteran designer, Sonia Noel and her organizing team are poised to deliver an even more scorching episode than the ‘glitzy and glamorous’ spectacle they created last year.
Noel was informed that while Splashmin’s Fun Park and Resort was the initial location for the finals dubbed ‘Glamorous’, but continuous inclement weather has forced them to move to the Princess Buddy’s Hotel.
According to the designer, the resort will remain the focus for one of the episodes of the TV show, since the main photo shoot will be done at this venue.
The final segment of this impressive event is slated for July 12, in the Conference Room of the hotel, and begins sharply at 20:00 hrs.
At this forum 12 aspiring designers, six stylists and 12 models (six male and six females), will faceoff in a riveting ‘fashion kaleidoscope’ that will see some of the most exotic, provocative and creative designers coming to the forefront.
All of the models, who were eliminated during the run-up to the finals, will take to the catwalk in designers clothing in a dazzling presentation that promises to be more exciting than last year at the Savannah Suite Pegasus.
At presently, the models and designers are indulging in an intensive training and will be presented to the public when they participate in the grand motorcade on Saturday, June 20, that will ‘set the city streets afire’, before concluding at the Muffy’s Café, Fifth and Light Streets, Albertown.
