Invaders recorded the lone victory last weekend, when play in the Ann’s Grove leg of the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport organised Inter-Block football programme got underway.
On Saturday last, Young Warriors and Invaders played out a nil-all stalemate in the opening contest of the double-header, while Panthers and Pacesetters also played scoreless in their 0-0 stalemate. Sunday, Invaders squeezed out a 1-0 triumph over Pacesetters, thanks to a Gavin Adams goal in the 20th minute of play.
The teams are contesting a round robin format with the top sides advancing to the knockout stage to determine the overall champions.
Action continues Saturday with Young Warriors battling Pacesetters at 4:00pm in the lone clash. Sunday’s double-header pits Panthers against Young Warriors at 2:00pm, while to follow at 4:00pm, Invaders challenge Pacesetters, as they go all out to turn in another victorious performance.
Meanwhile, Timehri will continue their programme this weekend, which is at the knockout phase.
