The publisher of this newspaper, Glenn Lall, after seeing the dilemma of the four children of Mary Sandy, decided to help with the burial of the woman. Mary Sandy died tragically by accident leaving behind four children aged seven, five, three and three weeks.
Kaieteur News has since started a fund because of calls from the wider society. We have so far raised in excess of $500,000.
Your contribution, from wherever, would be gladly welcomed. The money would be going toward the future of these children.
Please note that all contributors and their amount pledged would be publicly acknowledged.
At the end of the fund, the money would be placed in a trust fund which would be managed by the publisher of this newspaper as was done in the case of the Lusignan Massacre.
