With a gala affair on Friday, the management of the spanking new Muffy’s Café opened its doors to the general public.
A brief but colourful ceremony, which was attend by dignitaries and representatives of the Guyana Model Search team, Muffy’s Public Relations Officer, Michael Younge preceded the launch which also saw patrons sampling some of the most succulent ethnic delicacies to hit the local shores.
Muffy’s Café is located at the junction of Fifth and Light Streets, Alberttown. The new facility allows customers to choose from a list of local, regional and international cuisines.
Speaking at the official launch and opening ceremony, Younge said that the Café offers the best service, free delivery and affordable prices to all Guyanese who crave the Muffy experience.
The Café is one of the two businesses in Alberttown, owned and operated by Mr. Royston Peniston and his spouse, Pheadra Pearson. The café also offers spacious environment which paints a picture of glamour and comfort, as well as style.
“Eat Happy” is the carefully selected tag that accompanies the name Muffy’s Cafe and speaks volumes of the purpose and main objective of this newly constructed and stylish business.
Muffy’s cafe opened its doors to the public in April, and since then customers and all those who have shared in the experience, continue to dine and entertain their friends and relatives at the Café.
The entity actually got its name from the couple’s second daughter, Tatiana Peniston, who was nicknamed “Muffy” by her grandmother when she was a baby.
The idea to open a food establishment and cafe was an easy one for Ms. Pheadra Pearson, who has a love for cooking and for dining at the best restaurants.
Ms. Pearson decided that she wanted the cafe to take on more than just a local look and food order. “It must be regional and possess the potential of drawing the overseas clientele” she explained. Her creative and realistic ways of thinking gave birth to Muffy’s Cafe.
The Cafe promises to offer to the public, Italian, Spanish, French and other dishes possible in the country. It also has a wide variety of salads, soups and freshly baked pastries each day.
While Muffy’s Café boasts a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere which is second to none, a group of courteous and well trained staff also forms part of their exciting package.
