The Guyanese pair of Travis Blyden and Elton Baker conspired to lead Rousillac United (RU) to the Trinidad 35-over club title with Blyden leading the way with a Man-of-the-Match performance in the final on Sunday.
After beating OJs Sports Club in the semis on Saturday, with Baker making 30 and Blyden 20, Progressive batted first and made 203 all out in Sunday’s final,.
RU accomplished victory in 30.1 overs, with the talented Blyden leading the way with an attractive 78 from 50 balls, including 6 fours and 5 sixes. Baker made 14 with 2 sixes. The win gave RU the title and TT$10,000.
The contract of both players have been renewed for next year’s season. The Guyanese duo is expected to return home today.
