The relatives of 16 year-old, Rachael Seecharan are searching frantically for her, since she disappeared from their home at Auchilyle Estate, Corentyne, Berbice, sixteen days ago.
The teenaged girl was last seen wearing her school uniform (cream blouse and green dress, and white boots) when she left the home on May 20.
Her mother, Sharon Teixiera, told this newspaper that the teenaged girl left the home on the day she disappeared, dressed in school uniform, but failed to return as she usually did in the afternoons.
The woman said she contacted relatives and friends but could not locate the young girl.
She said she even called her father who works with a contractor at # 35 Village, Corentyne, but the young girl had not contacted or visited him either.
The mother noted that she enjoyed a good relationship with her daughter even as she fervently hoped she had not come to any harm.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the missing girl can contact the mother on phone numbers 643-2097, 337-1607, or call the nearest police station.
