Police are trying to locate a gold-coloured Toyota Carina, PLL 1151, which was stolen from outside a Haley Street residence between Saturday night and yesterday.
Kaieteur News understands that $200,000, a digital camera, and registration documents for another vehicle were in the car.
Niomi Roberts told Kaieteur News that her husband, Junior Roberts, rented the vehicle from a friend on Friday.
On Saturday, as he had done the previous day, he parked the car outside the couple’s Lot 1919 Haley Street home.
However, when they awoke and checked at around 06:00 hours yesterday, the vehicle was gone.
Mrs. Roberts said that her husband had left $200,000 in the car, as well as his driver’s license and other documents.
The theft was reported at the Alberttown and Brickdam Police Stations.
