Sons emerged victorious against Fathers and Mothers combinations at the Vryheid’s Lust Sports Committee’s games night, at Wills Hide Out in Vryheid Housing Scheme.
Sons recorded 88 games, while Fathers notched up 75 and Mothers 66, with Shemroy Waddle (18) of Sons marking the most games. Roger Wickham top scored for the Fathers with 15 games, while Zoe Wills (15) and Keola Solomon (13) were the best Mothers on show.
Meanwhile, the South Turkeyen Sports Committee will be hosting a 12-team Father’s Day Dominoes competition which commenced from Friday.
Games will be played on June 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 and the final on the 19. Cops, Ministry of Education and Shem Team were the teams that clashed in the opening round at the Ministry of Education.
Trophies and cash prizes are at stake for the champion and runner-up teams. Registration fee is $6,000 per team.
