Another golfer has stepped forward to sponsor a tournament, as the local season continues this weekend at the Lusignan Golf Club. Golfer Kishun Bacchus of Kishun Bacchus Construction Company will sponsor Saturday’s Medal Play, which is expected to attract more than 30 golfers.
Bacchus, who finished third place in the recent Independence tournament, will be looking to better William Walker’s achievement of second place in a copetition he sponsored recently.
However, with most of the golfers showing improved form, the winning prize could go to any player. Among those expected to vie for honours are Boloram Deo, winner of the recently played BK International tournament, Ayube Subhan, Imran Khan, Brian Hackett, Lester Alvis, Ian Gouveia, Maurice Solomon, Chatterpaul Deo, Patrick Prashad, Ronald Bulkan, Albert Russell, Colin Ming, Alfred Mentore, Christine Sukhram, Mark Lashley, Gavin Todd, Mike Mangal, Mike Guyadin, Carlos Adams, Clifford Reis, Dr. Ram Singh, Joann Deo, Melissa Humphrey and Brian Glasford.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers as well as the Nearest to the Pin.
Tee off is 12:30 hours and there will be the usual briefing, 20 minutes before play starts.
