Dear Editor,
It seems that Guyana will be competing head to head with global beauties in Bahamas in August, at the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant.
It’s good to know that sacrifices are made to keep sending beauty ambassadors to continue keping alive, “The El Dorado.”
I believe that an important aspect for the chosen/selected beauty ambassador is to be very articulate when having to make representation and having knowledge of current affairs.
The Toastmasters Club in Guyana is an ideal group to approach for guidance, and a representative could also be considered for a post as a judge on the night of the competition.
To the potential representative, read the dailies and keep looking at medium broadcasts both locally and internationally.
Having a communications degree doesn’t mean that you are articulate in speaking.
