Play in this year’s Al Sport/Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport Primary Schools Windball Cricket Championships continued yesterday with matches at the Enmore Community Centre ground.
Among the schools to record victories were debutants Enmore, to advance in the Boys category, while Montrose, Graham’s Hall, La Bonne Intention (LBI), Paradise and Victoria, also made it to the next round after registering wins.
In one of the most exciting games, St. Paul’s and Enmore played to a tie, with Enmore losing a wicket off the last ball of the innings and the scores level.

Boys:
Montrose defeated Mon Repos by 7 wickets.
Mon Repos closed on 46-2 off the allotted 6 overs with Sahadeo Ramkellewan making 16. Montrose in reply reached 47-3. Rayan Lall 18.
Graham’s Hall beat St. Paul’s by 13 runs.
Grahams Hall compiled 58-4, with Shem Wilkie stroking a top-score of 34.
St Paul’s in their turn at the crease were restricted to 45-6. Vikash Persaud made17, Brendon Yearwood captured 3 wickets.
Enmore easily defeated Victoria by 22 runs.
Debutant Enmore took first strike and totalled 57-2. Asif Mohamed and Mark Hamilton scored 12 each.
Victoria in reply could only muster 35 for the loss of 7 wickets. A Hamilton had 2-4 and A Mohamed 2-14.
LBI beat BV by 10 wickets.
Beterverwagting 48-3, Devin Price 23.
LBI 50-0, Mahendra Persaud 24.
Paradise squeezed past Annandale by 1 run.
Paradise 30-5
Annandale 29-9.
Girls:
Paradise beat Friendship by 19 runs.
Paradise 42-4, Lisa Khan 12 S Stewart 16.
Friendship in reply, ended on 23-3.
Mon Repos eased past Annandale by 19 runs.
Mon Repos batted first and made 36-2. Kimberly Samad 13.
Debutant Annandale 17-6. K Samad picked up 3 wickets.
Victoria beat Montrose by 9 wickets.
Montrose 25-2.
Victoria 26-1. Kimaya Harris 12.
St. Paul’s and Enmore played to a tie.
St Paul’s made 29-6.
Enmore replied with 29-6.

Belvedere beat Cropper by 10 wickets.
Cropper reached 20-2.
Belvedere in their turn at the crease made 21-0, Alicia Rodrigues 18.
Rose Hall defeated Port Mourant by 2 runs.
Rose Hall 19-0.
Port Mourant in reply, ended on17-6.
Semi-finals:
Tain won by 5 wickets over Belvedere.

Tain replied with 29-5.
Final:
Tain beat Rose Hall by 8 runs.
