Dear Editor,
The operations of our Government are amazing. We have the most considerable defence force.
They try to train us to be soldiers of our communities by leaving us to fend for ourselves.
I mean how else are we supposed to master the art of life and death, if they don’t set us free in the battle fields without armoury? For instance, let’s take a hypothetical situation; there was an armed robbery at Chesney Berbice.
We called them and they responded 45 minutes after one man was shot dead for no reason.
However, the Chesney police station is only 15 minutes away from the scene. Are you confused? Well I am most certainly not. That’s what they were trained to do. That’s tipical! They have to let us fight our own battles, but in an indirect way.
Let me explain, if they don’t leave us to fend for ourselves, we will never learn. So they make up stupid excuses like they could not find the place “in which they were stationed” and we have to tolerate them, even though it might seem to us like they are cowards.
Isn’t that amazing? Oh, let’s not forget to mention our fire defence.
Unlike the police, they are so responsive that every time a fire brakes out they are always on time, but somehow they always forget to bring water.
However, they compassionately stand by our sides, and watch as our homes, that we worked so hard to build, just burn to ashes. I mean, who needs an old house anyway?
The insurance companies that we have entrusted all our diligently earned money, will help us rebuild a new one, unless they used it to enter into fraudulent investments.
Then our only alternative would be to live on our beautifully, paved streets our Government has made for us.
They spent billions of dollars on those roads, and we would never have to worry about flooding because they also spent billions strengthening our sea defences, as well.
We should appreciate that and be contented with what they are doing for us.
Fed Up
