Even as local music lovers are soaking up the transformation of Timeka Marshall’s singing and acting abilities, the local songstress is heading closer to the number one spot on the RE-tv charts with her ‘all night’ sensual video.
The catwalk beauty’s combination video ‘Hush’ with Peetah Morgan of the Morgan Heritage clan is also making the rounds and has also entered the RE-tv charts.
The GT&T inaugural Cell Link Jingle winner recently completed promotional tours to Trinidad and Barbados and is currently in Jamaica working on yet another video; this time with Busy Signal. That video will be filmed in June for launching in time for summer.
RE-tv is viewed by millions in the Caribbean, Japan and the USA.
Timeka entered the charts at number eight and was at number 3 last week. She’s currently second to D’aVille’s ‘Missing you right now’ that has been in the number 1 spot for a second week.
The video ranks above Brick and Lace and Vybz Cartel. Timeka was also chosen by Peetah Morgan to star in another video where she plays his lady, void of infidelity. That video will be released shortly.
Even as her single ‘All night’ is making its rounds, Marshall teamed up with Peetah Morgan from the Morgan Heritage band for her latest video ‘Secrets’.
The concept for the video is the to-die-for beautiful woman whose heart is in two different places and the near misses she encounters while living on the down low.
Shot at the Windham Rosehall Hotel, Marshall, who plays the character of a married woman, is seen in a room with Peetah, who is getting dressed to leave before her husband returns to the hotel.
As he is there getting dressed her husband is on his way into the hotel.
Seemingly aware of the affair, he approaches the front desk and shows the receptionist Timeka’s picture.
Then he goes to the bell counter, but before he can be allowed access he has to pay to get the room number. While all this is going, Timeka and Peetah are in their room singing about their ‘secret’ affair, unaware that her husband is on his way up.
Before he could catch her in the act, he is distracted and she survives another near miss.
The quality of the video is absolutely perfect with fantastic close-up shots and long shots of the artistes and other actors.
Close-up shots show the raw emotions of Peetah, Timeka, and her husband. Their fears, frustrations, discontentment and anger are very visible. The video quality alone will take you into the drama as it unfolds.
The storyline was another sure success, as we are all familiar with Mr Biggs and R Kelly, but there is more drama here as the security guard is in a money-making mood and continues to collect as he controls the love triangle. The near misses, the thought of being caught, the wanting more and the possible consequences, all working together makes this video a must see.
The backdrop of the hotel gave a certain class to the quality of the situation and made the video that much more beautiful.
The opening scene at the hotel complemented the storyline of the video. What better way to open the secrets of the triangle than at the place where it unfolds?
The woman who is finding it hard to live a double life, her husband who has to deal with the situation, and the suitor who doesn’t mind keeping a secret makes for a great storyline.
