There are going to be even more arrests as people try to smuggle cocaine and other illegal drugs through the airport. The reason is that there is a desperate need for people to get the drugs out of the country to a place where the money lurks.
The couriers are beginning to run out of options but their determination keeps driving them. For one, the acquisition cost is so low that the temptation of sizeable profits will keep driving them.
But these arrests will prompt a most untoward fallout. The people who provide the drugs are going to demand their money because they too want to dispose of what they have since it is earning nothing. And since they are indebted.
The anti-drug units will also come under attack. One senior enforcer will be sorely tempted. The outcome is unclear.
