Dear Editor,
Like all other concerned citizens, I am interested to know what is the status of the dispute between our Chancellor, the Honourable Justice Carl Singh and the distinguished Registrar of the Supreme Court, Madam Seeta Ramlall.
Both of these learned members of the legal profession, made damaging allegations against each other which suggest that both may have acted, while executing duties of their respective offices, in a manner that calls into question their individual professional ethics.
The allegations, which involve disbursement of some $40 million taxpayers, and/or donor entities, must be of interest to all Guyanese.
I therefore, wish that the relevant authorities apprise us of the situation.
Dr. Luncheon might be able to advise the general public as to whether an investigation was recommended, or if one is already on the way.
Important to note is that, these allegations, which also includes blames of impropriety, are made by two of the most senior officers of the justice system, so if justice cannot be served in this particular case then all of us must be more concerned.
Justice here also means justice for the people.
