The respective winners of the recently staged DJ Stress Twenty/20 Cricket Competition received their cash prizes during a simple presentation ceremony, conducted at the GT&T Canteen yesterday.
Attended by representatives of the teams that participated in the one-day event which was held at the Guyana National Stadium, GT&T staffers, Senior Marketing Officer Rhonda Johnson and Marketing Representative Yasmin Bowman-McPhoy acting on behalf of the Company, made the presentation to the individual winners.
Collecting for the winning team New Line Cavaliers, was national middle order batsman Gajanand Singh, who was received a cheque worth $500,000 which will be divided among various charities of the team’s choice.
Theresa Pemberton received a cheque worth $300,000 on behalf of runners-up Gizmos&Gadgets Georgetown Pit-bulls, while Samaroo Jailall and Ronald Sarjoo were each presented with cheques of $100,000.
