Archer’s Home gets help from int’l body

The Junior Chamber International Guyana recently brought cheer to inmates of Archer’s Home when it donated food hampers to the institution for the elderly.
This gesture was one of the many outreach initiatives it has conducted regularly.
The Junior Chamber International Guyana is a federation of young people fostering development among youths as they gear to make ‘better leaders of tomorrow’.
The entity, which has been functioning for several years now, focuses on bringing assistance to young people and the elderly in every possible manner.
On their visit to the home, members of the organisation interacted with inmates there and were amazed at the level of harmony and unity among them.
They were particularly bowled over by the cheerful and jovial banter at the institution. This caused some of them to sit for ‘one and one conversations’ with occupants of the home.
At present, the Junior Chamber is planning a series of ‘fun parties’ for orphanages around Guyana. It will also spearhead other outreach programmes.
To operate smoothly, the Junior Chamber International Guyana seeks funding from public and private sector entities or hosts fundraisers.
