The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) has advised that patients are no longer being housed in the Surgical Block building due to ongoing construction on the new in-patient facility.
From yesterday, patients have been relocated from Wards A1 and A2 to the middle floor of the Intern’s Flat, from Wards B1 and B2 to the top floor of the Intern’s Flat, from Wards C1 and C2 to the area that formerly housed the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic.
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology clinic has been relocated to the lower flat of the Maternity Unit (commonly known as Ward E)
Female Medical has been moved to the area which formerly housed the Surgical Out Patients Clinic (SOPD), while the Surgical Out Patient Clinic (SOPD) has been relocated to the Medical Clinic area. It was noted that these two clinics will be sharing this area temporarily.
The Intern’s flat is located opposite the Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre (ACDC) Building. The Corporation said that it regrets any inconvenience caused and looks forward to the usual cooperation of the public.
